This directory contains version 1.4.4 of Windows Eudora, a WinSockAPI 1.1 compliant POP3/SMTP mail client. You must get the WINSOCK.DLL file from your TCP/IP stack vendor (for most TCP/IP packages, the WINSOCK.DLL will come along with your distribution diskettes). Please don't try to use a WINSOCK.DLL file from a TCP/IP stack that you don't have, and don't try to rename a file that looks like WINSOCK.DLL (e.g. WSOCKET.DLL) to WINSOCK.DLL -- it won't work! The file eudor144.exe is a self-extracting archive. Just run it and it will unpack several files, one of which is README.TXT, which I STRONGLY suggest that you read before trying to run Eudora. The file 14manual.exe is a manual for the 1.4.4 version of Windows Eudora. It's a self-extracting archive, and it's in Microsoft Word format.
