--the version from the Govt. Printing Office lists for $40.00 in
paperback.  A private publisher prints it for less:  $19.95
hardbound (ISBN 1878753312), $14.95 paperbound (ISBN 1878753304).
The publisher is "Reference Press" and their title for it is "The
American Almanac 1993-1994 : Statistical Abstract of the United
States."  Thanks for the suggestion, Andy; I'm going to buy a copy
as "letter writing ammunition!"
