Sorry, I must have made myself unclear. I thought I appended a text "intro"
to my previous message. I'll include it below.

The flyers are actually .zip files. They contain PCL and PostScript data
that can be copied to a printer to produce artwork masters for photocopying.
Therefore plain text versions are not suitable for posting. I would like to
place the actual .zip files in the pub/chan directory so people can use them
in their original format.

Here is the intro message... thanks in advance.

If you want to DO SOMETHING about preserving your Constitutional Rights,
please download your state's version of the Grassroots Flyer and start
distributing it in your area TODAY.

Most voters oppose the anti-citizen gun control groups, but don't know how
to say so or to whom they should say it. The Grassroots Flyer solves these
problems by providing a prewritten letter, a list of the state's federal
officials, and complete instructions. Voters don't even need an envelope -
just a couple of minutes and a few stamps tells their elected officials to
preserve their rights.

All data is provided in PCL and PostScript for ease of use. Just COPY it
directly to almost any laser printer and it's ready for duplication.
Everything is public domain; there are no costs and no contributions.

Early tests in a city of 300,000 showed rapid disbursement in just one
weekend. 100% of contacted commerical establishments wanted copies to hand
out - and several guaranteed that no one would leave without one. Comments
like "This is exactly what I need" and "THANK YOU for doing this" were very
rewarding and were a testimony to the pro-citizen feelings shared by the
overwhelming majority of voters.

Versions are being prepared for all 50 states. The filename format is
??GRAS.ZIP, where ?? is the postal abbreviation for the state (California is
CAGRAS.ZIP, for example). The files are available on the Internet from
pub/firearms/politics/incoming (now) and pub/firearms/politics/rkba (soon)
at aphrodite.nectar.cs.cmu.edu. They are also available from CompuServe via
GO POLITICS, Library 1 (We The People), download ??GRAS.ZIP. They will be
uploaded to other locations upon request, and the remaining states will be
finished in order of request.

ONLINE CITIZENS: This is your opportunity to stop talking and actually do
something to preserve our Constitutional Rights. Grassroots movements are
inexpensive and carry enormous political power. The vast majority of voters
value their rights, but they need help telling their elected officials.
Help them, and they can help you - to preserve our rights.

Do it today.

Richard L. Hartman (that's me) is the author. As stated in the README.TXT
file, everything is in the public domain and is freely copyable, uploadable,
etc. No costs nor contributions.

Thanks for your help.
